What Is Heat The Town?

Heat the Town is a vital community program that has served the Lubbock area for a quarter of a century. Organized by the South Plains Chapter of the Texas Air Conditioning Contractors Association, the initiative identifies homeowners who may not have the resources to maintain their heating systems. Many of these residents rely on older, unvented heaters or aging floor furnaces that can become safety hazards if left unserviced.

Our involvement in this initiative allows us to make a tangible impact on local lives:

  • Improving home safety – Identifying and fixing gas leaks or venting issues in older heating units. 
  • Providing equipment – Working with supply partners to install donated furnaces for those in need. 
  • Supporting independence – Helping seniors stay in their homes comfortably by maintaining their primary heat source. 
  • Technician volunteers – Sending our skilled service and installation technicians to perform expert repairs at no cost.
